Shipping and delivery

Ambient, chilled and frozen items travel as separate parcels, so shipping is worked out for each temperature band in your order and the amounts are added together.

• Base shipping: ¥900 per temperature band
• Cool-chain fee: ¥330 for each of chilled and frozen
• Remote-area fee: ¥500 per temperature band for Hokkaido and Okinawa

Charges follow the number of temperature bands, not the number of boxes — packing that needs an extra box is never billed to you. The remote-area fee applies whatever the order value.

When the goods in a temperature band reach the amount below (after discounts, tax included), that band ships free.

• Ambient: base shipping free over ¥4,980
• Chilled: base shipping free over ¥4,980
• Frozen: base shipping free over ¥4,980

Bands are never combined. Chilled ¥4,400 with frozen ¥4,400 counts as ¥4,400 in each band, not ¥8,800 in one — they arrive as separate parcels.

A free-shipping coupon covers one base shipping charge (¥900). Cool-chain and remote-area fees are not covered.

Orders are shipped within 3 business days of payment confirmation. Ambient and cool shipments take the same time to leave us.

Dispatch may take longer over New Year, long holidays, or due to weather and traffic. Once shipped, arrival depends on the carrier; the tracking number is sent in your dispatch email.

• Ambient - shipped by standard courier.
• Refrigerated - shipped by cool delivery (chilled).
• Frozen - shipped by cool delivery (frozen).

If you order ambient and chilled/frozen items together, they are normally shipped separately by temperature and may arrive at different times. See the next section on combined shipping.

Where it does not affect product quality, ambient items may be packed into the chilled or frozen parcel.

Chilled and frozen items are normally shipped separately. Depending on the nature, quantity or size of the items, combining may not be possible.

Whether and how items are combined is decided by the store. A change in the number of parcels does not change the base fee, the free-shipping threshold, or the regional surcharge.

If our packing results in more parcels than expected, no additional charge is made.
